Won Buddhist Spiritual Memorial
We commemorate the 64th anniversary memorial of the
Great Master Soteasan's Nirvana. This ceremony offers an opportunity
to pray for your own ancestors, spiritual teachers, and friends
who have passed away. It's also an ideal occasion for your children
to learn their roots, and feel the love of the people from the
past. You may offer your gratitude and appreciation for their
love, compassion, guidance, and friendship with special prayers
and bows. To honor ancestors in this ceremony, Won Buddhists traditionally
include a list of their names with a donation in honor of their
lives.
Spring Concert and Luncheon (12:30
pm)
This will
be the 5th Won Buddhist Annual Spring Benefit Concert and Luncheon.
It is an opportunity to offer much needed financial support to
the Temple while enjoying food and entertainment that is worth
far more than the suggested donation. First we will have a wonderful
luncheon. Following the luncheon will be a concert by the Won
Buddhism Chamber Players.

Sangha Meeting
Following Dharma Service,
there will be a meeting of the entire Sangha to discuss programming,
temple services, and other aspects of life at the Temple. This
will follow the form of a "town meeting" where everyone
will have an opportunity to express their thoughts and concerns.
It is very important to the ministers and members of the Temple
Council that you participate in this and share your thoughts and
concerns with us. We need your input as we look toward the future
and trying to better meet the needs of our members.
